Scouts at 9th North take part in Youth Social Action!

Latest data on national food insecurity levels from The Food Foundation’s Food Insecurity Tracker show 9.3 million adults (17.7% of households) experienced food insecurity in January 2023, with one in four households with children (four million children) experiencing food insecurity in same month.

9th Bradford North Scout Group reported ‘The food donations are stacking up for our reverse advent calendar which is wonderful.’

Toby Hammond, West Yorkshire Youth Commissioner said ‘Empowering young people to make a positive difference to the world around them is beneficial for their mental health, confidence and supports them to build Skills for Life.

It’s been exciting to see what 9th Bradford North has been doing to support their community!

Everyone in Scouts should be encouraged and empowered to take a role in social action.’
