County Lead Volunteer (West Yorkshire Beaver Scouts)
(Formerly ACC Beaver Scouts)
We’re sad to announce that after many years of great service to our county Sam Wakefield will be stepping away from the role of County Beaver Scout Lead (formerly ACC Beaver Scouts) in the Autumn. Sam has worked extremely hard in the Beaver Scout Section and has led on a number of Beaver Scout Events and initiatives and was at the forefront of our digital event offerings during the pandemic. He has brought a creative energy to the role and introduced us to “Barney the Beaver”. Sam will continue to support the County moving over into the WYSGlobal team to support in the International arena so he’s not going far and we’ll still continue to see him at future event.
I’m sure you’ll join with us in thanking Sam for all his hard work and commitment supporting the Beaver Scout Section over the last five years.
This means that we are now on the look out for someone who would like to take on this exciting role.
Would you like to :
* Support the development of Beaver Scouting across the County
* Join a dynamic County programme team providing programme opportunities
* Represent the Beaver Scout voice on the County Team
* Bring exciting and innovative ideas to help support delivery of top-class programme support
This role could be taken by an individual or shared between a small team. If you are interested in joining us and taking on this role, you can discuss it further with either Ian Womersley (County Lead volunteer) or Phil Pearson (Programme Lead for the County)
We would like the person/people to start in September this year if possible with a view to handing over fully in January 2025
