Gang Show to Celebrate RNLI’s 201-Year Anniversary

West Yorkshire Scouts are thrilled to announce the return of their highly anticipated Gang Show, a spectacular showcase of talent, teamwork, and Scouting spirit. This year’s show promises to be extra special as it includes a dedicated segment honouring the 201-year anniversary of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

Taking place at Victoria Theatre from 28th to 29th March, the Gang Show will bring together Scouts from across West Yorkshire to perform a dazzling mix of music, dance, and comedy, highlighting the creativity and enthusiasm of young people involved in Scouting. As one of the longest-running traditions in the Scouting movement, the Gang Show continues to celebrate the values of friendship, resilience, and adventure.

The special RNLI tribute will shine a spotlight on the vital work of the organisation, recognising a century of lifesaving efforts across the UK’s waters. Through song, storytelling, and performance, West Yorkshire Scouts will pay homage to the bravery and dedication of RNLI volunteers who have saved countless lives at sea. This segment also aims to educate and inspire the audience about the importance of water safety and the impact of the RNLI’s work.

Toby Hammond, Youth Lead for West Yorkshire Scouts, said: “The Gang Show is always a highlight of our year, but we’re especially proud to be marking the RNLI’s centenary in this way. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our young people to learn about the incredible contributions of the RNLI while also showcasing their talents on stage.”

Audiences can expect a night of fun, laughter, and heartfelt moments as West Yorkshire Scouts take to the stage to deliver an unforgettable performance. Tickets for the Gang Show are available now at https://www.victoriatheatre.co.uk/whats-on/scouts.
