🌟 We’re Looking for a District Lead Volunteer – Could It Be You (or Someone You Know)?
Holme Valley Scout District is on the lookout for our next District Lead Volunteer — and we need your help to find them!
This is a crucial and exciting leadership role at the heart of our Scouting community. But here’s the twist: it doesn’t have to be just one person! We believe in teamwork — this role can be shared by a team of passionate people or taken on by an inspiring individual who wants to make a big difference.
What’s the Role All About?
The District Lead Volunteer works with adult volunteers across Holme Valley to make sure young people can access the best Scouting experience possible. They help support our leaders, drive our growth, and ensure we’re welcoming, safe, and full of adventure. In short: they’re a champion for Scouting in our area.
You don’t need to be a current Scout leader — or even have any Scouting experience at all. We’re looking for someone (or a small team!) who:
✅ Believes in the power of young people
✅ Can bring people together and inspire others
✅ Wants to build a strong, inclusive, fun Scouting community
✅ Has time to give – but can shape the role around their life
Nominate Someone Today – Or Step Forward Yourself!
We want to cast a wide net — so please think big! Is there someone you know who’s passionate about community? A natural organiser? A great team player? Nominate them! Or if this sounds like your kind of challenge, put yourself forward.
The nomination process is simple, and you don’t need to ask permission first — we’ll contact everyone nominated to explore interest and share more about the role.
