Why Safety Training Matters
Safety training isn’t just a tick-box exercise-it’s a mindset. As volunteers, we take pride in creating safe spaces where young people can challenge themselves, make friends, and explore the world around them. By completing the Growing Roots: Safety module, we’re reminded of:
✅ How to manage risks
✅ What to do in emergencies
✅ How to spot hazards before they become problems
✅ The importance of good planning and communication
Every activity-whether it’s a hike in the hills, a game in the hall, or a camp under the stars-needs a safety-first approach. This training helps us put that into action without taking the fun out of the adventure. 🚀
