What’s the West Yorkshire Scout Reboot? It’s about supporting, upskilling and providing opportunities to section leaders to deliver both face to face outdoor activities (Getting your Boots on) and providing online activity training and events (Rebooting those computers).
So many Scouting sections across the County are unable to meet face to face due to lack of accessible facilities, reduced numbers of volunteers or even inability to access equipment. Where sections are doing a blend of virtual and face to face Scouting or all virtual activities, we’ve had requests for more virtual programme support and activities.
To help overcome these challenges we are:
● Offering events and activities which can be used across the County
● Providing resources to support sections and groups to return to face to face Scouting
● Providing Virtual programme support, ideas and activities
● Supporting Districts and campsites to offer facilities for section events
● Providing volunteer support to activities
● Supporting leaders to complete Covid 19 RA’s for these activities
Check out the table of opportunities below. Contact the named person for more details and to register your interest in either attending a specific event or booking the activity to run at a venue near to you. This event list will evolve as more campsites across the County are able to offer these events and additional activities are developed.
